There is a lot of fluff in this business that may cloud the judgment of athletes trying to determine where to train during their football careers. Here’s a few of the distractions you may face while trying to find an effective training program:

Fancy Facilities: Great looking facilities by themselves don’t necessarily produce great results. And scouts don’t rate where you train; they only look at their stopwatch!

Impressive Client List: Training alongside Deion Sanders may be fun but it has absolutely no correlation to you’re being able to run as fast as him. Rather, you should see if the program could help you make the most of your potential as quickly as possible.

Touchy/Feely Peripherals: Vibration machines, massage gurus, electro-stimulation, nutrition/supplement wizardry, alignment specialists, anti-gravity pools are sometimes helpful extras a trainer may provide, but they will not compensate for a sub-par training program. Consider these services for what they are—additional amenities only.

Big Training Groups: If you’re one of 40 athletes preparing for the combine at a given location, you probably won’t get a lot of individual attention. The truth is, large groups can create a circus-like environment just at the very time when you need to get serious about your training and focus on doing your personal best.

The bottom line is—you should go where you’ll get the best results. It is no coincidence that Garrett Wolfe, 3rd round pick of the Chicago Bears, had the top 3-cone and pro-shuttle times at the 2007 NFL Combine after training with us. The methods and techniques we used to train him are also available to you. Contact us at TC Boost today and we’ll show you what we mean.

“I strongly urge all of our clients to work with Tommy because I know they will see long lasting benefits. Not only does he possess great technical knowledge, but his personality and enthusiasm allows him to help players push themselves to their outer limits. He is a creative thinker who will work outside of the box to design programs that best fit each particular athlete.”
