For over a decade, Cody has trained athletes spanning a massive range of ages, levels, and sports. Cody grew up playing football, baseball, and basketball before deciding to pursue playing football in college. This dream led the Phoenix, AZ native north of the border to finish his football career at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC, Canada. While at SFU, Cody played for the first foreign university to win an NCAA football game.
SFU is also where Cody began his coaching career and developed a passion for speed development. Cody returned home to intern at Arizona State before working as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Cody earned his MS in Kinesiology during his coaching tenure at U Mary. After spending a year at the high school level, Cody headed to Asia to coach for the next 4 years. After a year with the Chinese Olympic Committee, Cody spent three years coaching in the private sector in Taiwan. During this time, Cody worked with paralympic athletes, individual athletes from a variety of sports, college basketball teams, and the national lacrosse team.
Cody advocates for spending time outdoors. He enjoys hiking, cycling, kayaking and outdoor pull-up bars.
